Pete’s Priorities
-
Milton’s schools are a cornerstone of what makes our community and home values strong. It is encouraging that our public schools are on budget for FY26. We are beginning to see the benefits of enhanced planning, oversight, and transparency implemented by town officials and the recently established school budget subcommittees.
Despite this progress, Milton faces significant and ongoing financial challenges, including school overcrowding. Addressing these issues will require long-range planning, discipline, honesty, and community trust. The process we follow must inspire confidence — keeping residents informed and providing meaningful opportunities to be heard.
In his professional work as an in-house attorney, Pete helps organizations navigate complex financial and operational decisions. He believes sound process, careful analysis, and respect for differing viewpoints lead to better outcomes.
As a Select Board member, Pete will work to build consensus and pursue creative cost-saving strategies. Pete will also thoughtfully evaluate opportunities to strengthen our tax base through incremental, sustainable economic development — always with Milton’s long-term character and stability in mind.

Milton’s worsening traffic congestion requires an all-hands-on-deck approach from the Select Board. We need proactive, long-term planning to improve safety, mitigate the impact of cut-through traffic, and protect the neighborhood's quality of life.
Pete will work to strengthen Milton’s traffic planning efforts by identifying additional resources for the Traffic Commission. It is critical that our town traffic experts have Select Board support and resources to address traffic problems in town. Proactive planning, community engagement, and follow-through will be key. In parallel, we must actively pursue available state and federal grants to fund traffic calming and safety improvements.

It is important for Milton to have three modernized fire stations. Pete will work to support the necessary renovation and modernization of the Atherton Fire Station so that every neighborhood is served by the Milton Fire Department.

Local officials set the tone for civic life. Pete will bring a values-based leadership approach grounded in fairness, respect, and accountability.
Process. Pete will work to inspire confidence in the decision-making process by facilitating opportunities for open forums, expert input, and early community engagement on major decisions. Even when we disagree on outcomes, we should feel confident that decisions were made fairly.
Volunteerism. Like many residents, Pete and his family have found fulfillment in service to our community. Pete will work to offer a centralized webpage to better connect community organizations with residents who want to get involved.
Kindness. We are neighbors first. Pete’s consensus-driven approach prioritizes unity, civility, and common ground — values that define Milton at its best.
