About Pete
Pete is a proud Milton resident, husband, and father of a Collicot first-grade student. He has volunteered his time to Milton as a Town Meeting Member from Precinct 6, a youth hockey coach, an active member of the Collicot PTO, and the new Celebrating Our Differences Program Coordinator for Collicot. He is a parishioner at St. Agatha’s and the son of a public school teacher.
Pete brings more than 15 years of legal and governance experience to this campaign. He serves as Senior Counsel, Head of Litigation and Employment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute*, a nonprofit research hospital dedicated to treating and curing cancer. In that role, Pete advises senior executives and institutional boards, helping navigate complex regulations, manage risk, and support sound, well-informed decision-making.
Pete is most proud to be known as a listener and consensus builder. A recent Boston College Law School alumni magazine article titled “Calm Counsel” described him as an “even-keeled advisor during complex decisions,” noting his ability to “build relationships even when opinions about the best approach may differ.”
He was recognized globally as a Top Ten Under 40 in-house counsel by the Association of Corporate Counsel, an award honoring innovation, leadership, and service. He has also been acknowledged for his pro bono contributions in immigration and disability rights advocacy.
Pete’s commitment to service began as an undergraduate at Boston College, where he joined the Best Buddies program and was paired with a gentleman named Ian. Twenty-four years later, Pete and Ian remain close friends — and Pete and his wife named their son after him. At Boston College Law School, Pete chaired the Community Service Committee and received the “St. Thomas More Commencement Award,” presented to the graduate demonstrating character, intellect, and integrity.
